One of the most infamous sports injuries is the dreaded torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament). Professional athletes commonly turn to surgery to repair torn ACLs, especially when it's a full tear. But partial ACL tears can often be treated without going under the knife.


When a tendon becomes inflamed, tendonitis can result. In knees, tendonitis often develops at the patellar tendon, which is where your kneecap and quadriceps muscles are attached. Tendonitis frequently affects athletes who put repetitive stress on their knees. This condition can cause some swelling, as well as a burning sensation in the kneecap.

Cartilage Tears
